Shari Lieberman

Shari Lieberman, PhD, CNS, recently lost her battle with metastatic breast cancer at the age of 51. A revered friend, avid athlete and established voice on nutrition, medicine, healthcare and related academic issues, Dr. Lieberman served on the American Preventive Medical Association board and established two fully accredited masters programs in clinical nutrition (University of Bridgeport and New York Chiropractic College). Also an author of several books, including the best-selling The Real Vitamin & Mineral Book (Avery/Penguin Putnam, 2003), she held a private practice as a clinical nutritionist for more than 20 years in New York City. She is survived by her husband Augusto.
